Kongsberg Maritime is broadening its Elegance Pod propulsion product line, according to MarineLink. The company is introducing five new sizes to its range, which are capable of delivering up to 22 megawatts of power.
This expansion allows Kongsberg Maritime to cater to the propulsion requirements of the world's largest cruise vessels, as reported by MarineLink. The new units are being developed with current and future vessel architectures in mind.
The introduction of these larger pod units signifies an effort to support evolving designs and operational needs within the marine industry, particularly for high-capacity passenger ships, MarineLink stated.
