EcoMethanol has announced its plans to supply green methanol to ships belonging to Wallenius Wilhelmsen and EUKOR. This development comes as the company advances with its production capabilities.
The company informed Ship & Bunker that it is moving forward with the construction of a new plant in Taebaek, South Korea. This facility is designed to produce 15,000 metric tonnes of green methanol annually.
EcoMethanol also noted that South Korea currently does not produce any green methanol. The new plant aims to address this gap in the market, according to the company's statements.
