The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk freight index, which monitors rates for vessels transporting dry bulk commodities, increased by approximately 0.3% to reach 3,584 points on Tuesday. This rise followed a 1.4% decrease observed in the previous trading session, as reported by Hellenic Shipping News.

According to Hellenic Shipping News, the capesize index also experienced a rebound, climbing by 0.4% to 6,313 points. Capesize vessels are typically used for carrying large cargoes, such as 150,000-ton shipments of iron ore and coal.

The supramax index, another component of the overall dry bulk freight index, also showed an upward movement. This indicates a broader positive trend across different vessel sizes within the dry bulk shipping sector on the day in question.
