Everllence has commenced full-scale testing of its 12-cylinder 175DF-M dual-fuel methanol engine, as reported by Hellenic Shipping News. These tests are taking place at the company's Test and Research Center located in Frederikshavn, Denmark.

The company indicated that this initial full-scale test campaign has confirmed the engine's operation in both diesel mode. This follows previous work in 2025 where the 175DF-M concept was optimised on a single-cylinder test stand.

The successful start of these full-scale tests marks a significant step for the 175DF-M engine. The development aims to validate the engine's performance and capabilities in a comprehensive testing environment.

According to Hellenic Shipping News, the testing process is designed to ensure the engine meets operational standards. This includes verifying its functionality across different fuel modes, building on earlier optimisation efforts.
