Nord Gas Solutions has secured a contract to supply essential systems for two new 40,000 cubic meter Medium Gas Carrier (MGC) vessels. The agreement involves providing both the Cargo Handling System (CHS) and the LPG Fuel Supply System (LFSS).
The vessels are currently under construction at the HD Hyundai shipyard. Byzantine Maritime is identified as the shipowner for these new MGC vessels, which will incorporate the supplied systems.
The contract was formally signed in June 2026, according to the source publication. This award is noted to strengthen the existing relationship between Nord Gas Solutions and its partners.
The provision of these specialized systems highlights advancements in marine fuel technology and cargo management for gas carriers. The integration of LPG fuel supply systems supports the use of alternative fuels in shipping.
