U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports averaged 17.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) during the first half of 2026, as reported by Hellenic Shipping News. This figure represents a 23% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, 2025.
The rise in export volumes was attributed to higher capacity, according to information cited in the Natural Gas Monthly publication. This growth highlights the expanding infrastructure supporting LNG shipments from the United States.
Hellenic Shipping News also reported on estimates for the latter half of 2026. The Short-Term Energy Outlook projects that U.S. LNG exports will average 17.3 Bcf/d during this period.
This projection suggests a continued strong performance in the U.S. LNG export sector throughout the year. The consistent high volumes indicate robust demand and operational efficiency within the industry.
