Ventura Offshore, a deepwater offshore drilling contractor based in Brazil, has expanded its managed fleet, according to Offshore Energy. The company added a seventh-generation drillship from Eldorado Drilling to its existing rig pool.
The expansion of the fleet is accompanied by a new contract win for Ventura Offshore. The firm has secured a multimillion-dollar assignment with Petronas, Malaysia's state-owned oil and gas company.
This new deal involves a drilling job that will take place off the coast of Indonesia. The operations are specifically located in Southeast Asia, as reported by Offshore Energy.
