According to MarineLink, four shipowners from Sweden, Norway, and Canada have ordered four new VINGA product tankers. These vessels are expected to be delivered in 2028 and 2029, contributing to the expansion of the Furetank-developed series.
The new orders will increase the total number of ships in the VINGA product tanker series to 26. This development indicates continued investment in this particular vessel type within the shipping industry.
MarineLink reported that two of the newly ordered vessels will be owned by FureBear. FureBear is identified as a joint venture, suggesting a collaborative ownership structure for a portion of the new fleet.
