Hanwha Ocean reported on September 3 that it secured an order from Yang Ming Marine Transport for six liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel container ships. The value of this order is approximately 1.5527 trillion won, according to the company's statement.
Additionally, on September 1, Hanwha Ocean received an order for three very large gas carriers. This separate order came from a shipowner located in Oceania, with a reported value of 477.8 billion won.
These combined orders represent a significant intake for Hanwha Ocean, totaling approximately 2 trillion won. The new contracts highlight the company's activity in the marine vessel construction sector, particularly for gas-powered and gas-carrying ships.
