Wah Kwong NatPower has expanded its electrification initiative within China, according to Ship & Bunker. The venture has now moved into the Jiangsu region, marking a significant step in its operational reach.
This expansion follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the investment arm of Jiangsu Port Group. The agreement facilitates the venture's entry into a key area.
The move is specifically aimed at China's largest inland waterway network. This strategic focus indicates an effort to bring electrification solutions to a vital part of the country's maritime infrastructure.
