Yangzijiang Maritime Development, a company listed in Singapore, has reportedly committed to acquiring up to 12 new vessels. This expansion of its fleet orders involves two shipyards located in China, according to the source publication.

The new orders continue a trend of vessel acquisitions by the company, which has previously included various types of ships. These new additions will further diversify its portfolio across dry bulk carriers, product tankers, and chemical tankers.

The company, led by Ren Yuanlin, has placed an order for six firm 64,500 dwt ultramax bulkers. This agreement also includes an option for an additional four of these vessels, all to be constructed at Jingjiang Nanyang Shipbuilding.

A separate transaction has been concluded for other vessel types, though the source material does not specify the exact details of this second deal. This indicates a broad investment strategy across different shipping segments.
